Sick | Tony Schwartz

After a Wednesday night pain free, Chesney was pretty much bedridden yesterday and wouldn’t move for anyone, not even my mother who is his second favorite person on Earth next to me. At about 2:30 am, he suddenly popped up and proceed to pace and limp around the downstairs area for four hours, keeping me awake as I tried to figure out what he wanted, which I still don’t know.

He didn’t have that smile or glimmer in his eyes that he usually does – it was very weird. It was almost like it hurt him to walk around, but he wanted to do it anyways. that old Cowboy Up mentality we’ve always had.

I’m also on zero sleep. But hey, Cowboy Up.

At 6:30 am, he finally settled back into his bed and hasn’t moved again since. He also hasn’t ate, and maybe sipped a tiny bit of water. After speaking with my vet, I am taking him to a chiropractor for a spinal adjustment this evening, and we’re hoping maybe a disc was just slipped or something and a quick adjustment will be our fix.

If not, then it’s going to be a loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnng weekend.
